If I could turn back time just once in my life, I think I would choose not to have surgery at this hospital. Before surgery, the consultation made the specialized equipment seem like a point of difference from other hospitals, and I decided to proceed because I felt trust in the director’s confident explanation. However, after the surgery, I personally felt deeply disappointed with the result. Right after the splint was removed, setting aside the swelling, there was a significant difference from the shape I had expected. In particular, the alar base seemed to drop faster than expected, and the nose line was curved in a C shape instead of the form I wanted. People around me also said my nose looked big and blunt, and I myself was not satisfied with the result. Because I was unhappy with the outcome, I asked to consult with the counseling manager, but I felt that I did not receive a sufficient explanation for my concerns. The hospital kept repeating that there was no problem and that it was a natural state, and I felt that my opinion was not adequately reflected. Also, among the things I learned after the surgery, there was a part I understood to mean that material had been used that I had not been sufficiently informed about in advance, which was upsetting. I wish there had been a more detailed explanation about this as well. The follow-up consultation and response process also fell short of my expectations, and overall I felt disappointed with both the surgical result and the aftercare. This is strictly my personal experience and opinion, and I hope anyone considering the same surgery will receive 충분한 consultation and make a careful decision.
