I had nose surgery 10 years ago, and because my nose seemed to be getting shorter and shorter, I went in for a consultation worried it might be contracture. First of all, it was not the contracture I was worried about, and the CT scan showed no abnormalities. The director was kind, and since the septal cartilage had already been used, it could not be reused and I would need autologous costal cartilage. I had never really considered autologous costal cartilage before, so I'm still a bit torn, but since the septal cartilage has already been used, it seems like there may not be many options.. The hospital's reputation is good and the director also seems very safety-oriented, which I liked. It doesn't seem like the kind of place that does anything too flashy, so once I sort things out, I plan to go back for another consultation.
