I went for a consultation about revision nose surgery. Because my nose tip was swollen, as if it were inflamed, I called about four plastic surgery clinics in Gwangju, and this was the only place that told me to come in. The others all told me to contact their own clinics. Anyway, the front desk staff were kind, and they said it did not seem to be inflammation in my nose; it looked like the septum was pushing forward. They said that if I did a revision, they would leave the septal support in place, use ear cartilage for the tip, and then add autologous dermis on top. They also told me that, beyond just inflammation, it seemed like contracture might be progressing, which I had not even considered. Looking at old photos, my nose tip really was lifted a lot. It is sad, but I am glad I found out before it progressed even more.
