Eye Surgery review at Jeimi (제이미) · 2022-12-19

I had a consultation a year ago, but because of personal circumstances I couldn't have the surgery right away, so I postponed it and recently came back. I was told that I needed non-incisional eye correction (quick buried suture), and I left a deposit, but later other hospitals told me that I didn't have ptosis and didn't need eye correction, and I also didn't want eye correction myself, so I requested a refund of the deposit. The manager then suggested that I come in once more for another consultation. I visited again for another consultation, but the director didn't seem to have even been told that I didn't want eye correction, and gave the same mechanical diagnosis of non-incisional eye correction. When I said I didn't want eye correction, the response was, fine, if you want to live your life with sleepy-looking eyes, I'll leave it out for you~ and they said they would remove the eye correction. But on the consultation chart they wrote "quick buried suture (non-incisional eye correction)" and instructed the manager to record it that way, and after the director's consultation I asked the manager about it. They casually said it was just recorded that way, and immediately told me to set a surgery date. I was getting anxious, so I said I would think about it for a week. Then the manager took a jab at me, asking what the problem was since they were willing to do everything the way I wanted, and why I didn't want the surgery. It was absurd, but I said I would think about it for now and left the hospital. Then they sent me a message saying they couldn't give me the price they had originally planned to discount to, and that I should cancel if I wanted to cancel. I had received consultations at several places, but this was my first experience like this and it was so unpleasant. From the start, I had wanted to cancel the reservation, but it was the hospital that suggested the third consultation. My requested conditions were not even communicated to the director, and they proceeded with the consultation without giving me a clear explanation of the surgery I would be having. Then they talked to me as if I was the one refusing surgery. How could I trust this hospital and have surgery here? I don't know how amazing the director's surgical skill may be, but even if it's a simple procedure, I don't think I could lie down on this hospital's operating table and feel at ease, so I canceled the surgery reservation.
