I visited with the thought that I wouldn't get surgery right away, but at least I'd get a consultation, and even though the doctor knew I wasn't going to have surgery, they still kindly consulted with me. They were really proud of their square jaw work. I had a CT scan, waited a bit, then got the consultation, and they answered all my questions and explained everything kindly. When I left, they even gave me a book.
