I had double eyelid surgery at Hong Seong-ju 8 years ago. I was thinking of getting an epicanthoplasty at the same time, but they measured the distance between my brows with a ruler and said I didn't need it, so I liked that they didn't push me. I went there knowing nothing, and they consulted me kindly, so I felt drawn in. It wasn't like I had decided on a specific line before the surgery; the surgeon said he'd take care of it well during surgery, and he gave me in-out double eyelids. They suit my eyes well, so I'm satisfied. Maybe because the surgeon likes making the line thick, it took a long time for the swelling to completely go down and for it to look natural. Even after the swelling was gone, it didn't become as thin as an inner fold, and I liked that. If I don't say anything, people don't know I had surgery. But maybe because my eyes were naturally uneven, it seems he clearly made the line thicker on the smaller eye, yet once the swelling went down, that side's double eyelid looked smaller, so I still couldn't escape having uneven eyes. It's not weird at all, and in its own way it looks natural and more like my own eyes, so I've just been living with it.
