I had facial contouring surgery 7-8 years ago. I have asymmetry, but it doesn't interfere with my life, so I'm just living with it. The sagging seems to have come from getting older. At the time of consultation, I remember the doctor being kind. For aftercare, I got one swelling-laser treatment. The skin in the upper cheek area under the eyes didn't fully regain sensation, so for a long time it felt like I was touching someone else's flesh, but now it seems to have mostly returned.
