While I was diligently searching YouTube after learning that eye correction surgery is a risky procedure, I came across Dr. Kim Jiyun's YouTube channel. She explained the difference between pseudoptosis and true ptosis well, and said that some eyes need eye correction surgery while others can be solved with double eyelid surgery alone, so I wanted to get a consultation. After arriving at the hospital, I had high expectations because the first person who guided me in and the facilities were both excellent. Once I entered the consultation room and waited a while, the manager came in and gave me a rough framework, and after another long wait, the director came in. Since it is probably a one-doctor hospital, they seemed busy. The director looked at my eyes for a long time and said they could not become dramatically bigger or change much, and that even after surgery there would still seem to be a lot of fat above the eyes, which worried me. Then I saw photos of cases similar to mine, and since they were not the line or look I wanted, I changed my mind,,. At that moment, the director suddenly said my face looked too big compared with my body and that I should also think about lower-face liposuction, which was very embarrassing,, haha. Both the guardian who came with me and I were shocked and upset, so we just sat there in silence, and then the director said, then think about it and contact us! and walked out. Then, as if the manager had read my expression, she asked what part was worrying me most right now, and when I said I was worried that the fat above my eyes would not be resolved, she said it was just my natural eye shape and there was nothing that could be done. So I thought, well... I do not even want to ask any more questions, and I just wanted to get out quickly, so I said I would think about it a little more and get back to them. She said, very clearly, "Yes, then do that!" and opened the door and left first, so we followed her out, and she just went back to her desk and sat down as if nothing had happened..? I was standing in front of the desk for a moment, thinking maybe she would at least give me a business card, but with a look that said why are you still here, she said, "You can just go!" lol..... Of course, they handle a lot of consultations and can tell at a glance whether we will or will not have surgery there. But people’s lives are unpredictable, and I could have become a patient there too, so I was very surprised and upset by that attitude..... Maybe because I looked young and the guardian who came with me also looked young, they dismissed us, or maybe that is just how she is, but in any case it was not something I should have had to understand, and I was truly disappointed.. I had had very high expectations because this was the first female director I had ever met, and because she did not seem commercial, but... the lower-face liposuction... and the unfriendly attitude too... it was a difficult consultation in many ways. And to top it off, the price was about 1.5 times higher than other hospitals, too,,
