The consultation manager was extremely kind and told me a lot of things. Then the director came and adjusted things once more, which was nice. That said, even though it was my first surgery, they did tell me to do quite a lot of things. Of course, it seemed like they were trying to make me look better, but for the parts I did not really understand, they explained them in more detail later by phone after the consultation, which I appreciated.
