I don't remember the exact surgery price anymore since it's almost been a year. I think it was somewhere between 150 and 175. I also don't remember the advertised price. I had lower eyelid fat repositioning and lower eyelid fat grafting together. My under-eyes were a bit bulging for my age. Personally it wasn't that stressful, but when I went to other consultations, doctors kept recommending that I do lower eyelid surgery first, so I ended up doing it. They said it was a surgery with a surprisingly high number of side effects, so I carefully searched reviews and thought about it before deciding, but in the end I am not satisfied. First, my eye shape changed. The lower eye line went from a rounded opened feeling to a straight, lifted-up feeling. The under line rose upward, so it became like when your eyes feel irritated and you open them wide, but the lower part rises and your eyes look smaller. That kind of impression. My eyes feel smaller and more cramped. It's almost been a year now and it still has not completely returned. I am looking into lateral and lower canthoplasty. People around me are not noticing it and talking about it, but plastic surgery is about self-satisfaction, and every time I look in the mirror I am dissatisfied. I feel like I became subtly uglier... Still, at least I knew this was a complication of lower eyelid surgery. What is even more annoying is that when I smile, a lump appears under my eyes. On both sides, about the size of a little fingernail. I don't know exactly whether it is fat clumping or what, but what I can say for sure is that it was not there before surgery. Because of this, my under-eyes bother me even more after surgery than before, and it is stressful lol. Even when I get photographed, the photographers fix the under-eyes first even if they do not say anything...? If that is the case, why did I spend money and time on surgery? Seriously funny lol. Actually, it is not funny at all. Not only am I less satisfied with the result, but the worst part was the attitude of the hospital and the doctor. On the day of the one-month follow-up, when I mentioned to the consultation manager in a dissatisfied tone about the bulge under my eyes, they treated me like a difficult customer and asked, "Are you angry?" lol. I swear I never behaved badly, and honestly, if I spent a lot of money on surgery, can't I speak in a dissatisfied tone if there is a problem? I was not using harsh language or complaining aggressively, and should I have been politely submissive even though there was a problem with the surgery? I absolutely was not raising my voice either; I was just speaking a bit irritably... It really was not enough to deserve that kind of comment... After that, I went in to talk to the doctor, and it seems the manager had tipped him off that I was being difficult. Before I even said anything, he immediately got angry? I had not said a single word yet. Then he said surgery is based on a face at rest, so I should not judge it by how it looks when smiling. Of course I know that. But I was not dissatisfied because my smiling expression had not improved; I was upset because a problem that did not exist before surgery had newly appeared. If a change appears that was not there before surgery, then the surgery is the cause of the problem, so regardless of whether the face is at rest or smiling, is that not the doctor's responsibility? Moreover, I had not been told in advance that such a change could happen. So I tried to explain it to the doctor, but our director was just extremely angry and did not seem willing to listen at all.. Before I could properly finish what I was saying, he only kept cutting me off and scolding me... Very unpleasantly, as if dealing with a problematic patient.. haha. I spent more than a million won, got an unsatisfactory result, and I was not even arguing with the doctor, yet I was being scolded like this, and I truly felt miserable and wanted to cry. But I could not fight back either, because I was afraid they would not take any follow-up measures and would just leave me hanging. In Korea, when there is conflict between doctor and patient, the doctor has overwhelming power... so I really wanted to cry, but I held it in. In the end, though, the doctor admitted there was a problem, and said he did not know why it happened. Then maybe it was his own surgical skill that was the issue.. haha. They said they could inject fat-dissolving shots or Botox into the bulging area, but then it might cave in when my face is at rest. So I just did not get that, and I also did not do the second fat grafting because the hospital felt untrustworthy. Isn't the high cost supposed to include aftercare, not just the surgery fee? And no matter how proud a plastic surgery clinic may be, it is still a form of medical service, and if they are at fault, I do not think they should respond like this. The director even had a YouTube channel, so I do not know if I should have trusted that and avoided them from the start. In any case, it is clear that this is an untrustworthy doctor and hospital. If I had to name a strength, it would be the relatively reasonable price compared with other hospitals, and the under-eye bulge did go down somewhat. But if you were told that for a relatively cheap price they would push in the under-eye bulge, while your eyes would tilt upward and get smaller and fat lumps would bulge out under the eyes, would you have surgery here? haha. If it were me, no. If I could turn back time, I would pay more and do it somewhere else. I also looked into revision surgery a lot, but it seemed like a complicated and difficult surgery, and the success rate did not seem high, so I just gave up. The director told me to do that too! He said to keep massaging the under-eyes hard and wait longer, but not to obsess over only the under-eyes and to live my life while doing what I need to do. lol. That's how I ended up being sent out like that ^^ I got so stressed out over this that I looked into revision surgery and everything, but I felt like I was going crazy, so I just gave up on everything and am living with it now. Still, thinking about it again makes my heart ache.. The surgical result and satisfaction can vary by person, so please keep that in mind, and think very carefully before deciding on surgery. Of course, even then, you cannot perfectly avoid landmines, just like I could not..... I am leaving this honest review in the hope that no one else follows the same path as me, with a public-spirited mindset. Thank you.
