At some point, my under-eye bags appeared and made me look hollow. I had surgery a year ago, and since I'm in my mid-20s now, the stress was no joke, so I made the bold choice to go from the provinces to Seoul for a same-day consultation and same-day surgery... Since it was my first surgery, I thought spending time going around in person was a waste, so I made the crazy choice to research everything online instead. As soon as I went up that day, I took photos, talked with the manager, had a short consultation with the doctor, and then went straight into surgery.. During the consultation, they explained the effect by using a comb-like tool to show me my under-eye fat, and I just thought, okay, I guess that's how it is.. lol After the surgery I stood up and the swelling was huge. For 1 to 2 weeks the swelling seemed to go down, and I could go about daily life right away, but people would all flinch. The residual swelling kept going down for 6 months to 1 year. A few months after the surgery, the under-eye bags seemed to stand out again, but now they've fully settled. Still, the under-eye fat area can come back, so if it recurs someday I would get surgery again. But next time I plan to choose much more carefully.
