My consultation with the doctor was an emotionally difficult time. Because the patients who came looking for hopeful answers were given cold, exact answers like yes, no, unnecessary, or impossible to say for sure. I could feel the pride in his surgical experience, but I was disappointed that it could not be conveyed through the consultation.
