I went for an eye surgery consultation. When I made the appointment, I clearly asked whether I could consult with the doctor, and they helped me book it right away, so I naturally thought I would be seeing the doctor. But it was the coordinator who consulted with me, and that was my first “huh..?” I arrived 30 minutes early and waited, but after my scheduled time passed, people who had arrived after me were called in first, so that was my second “huh..?” I had been going to several hospitals and told them that doctors at other places had said I had slight ptosis, but they suddenly became very serious and asked me in a pressing way whether I had really heard that exact term, which surprised me, and that was my third “huh..?”. Other hospitals said I was suitable for non-incisional surgery, and I also wanted non-incisional surgery, but here they were the only place that recommended incision. Of course each hospital has its own style, so that alone is not a problem, but I don't understand why they insisted on incision when I wanted non-incisional surgery and my eyes seemed suitable for it too.
