After four revision surgeries, my nose was a disaster. The first was filler, the second silicone, and the third and fourth were rib cartilage. My nose had already been ruined by two rib cartilage surgeries. The shape was extremely crooked, and because it was rib cartilage it was so hard that I couldn't breathe through one nostril. After that, I joined a ton of Naver cafes and searched around, and I think I consulted at almost 20 places. At several places they told me my nose was so bad that most doctors wouldn't touch it and couldn't operate on it. Then those doctors recommended Director Baek Moo-hyeon as being famous for reconstruction. When I came home and searched in the cafes, I saw a lot of posts saying he does things naturally, but that he pulls the nose out too long. At that point I only hoped for crooked nose correction, better breathing, and a nose that could move a bit. I didn't have any big demands. In the end I booked with Director Baek Moo-hyeon, set a surgery date, and had the operation in August 2013. I wrote down all the problems with my nose and all the parts I wanted fixed, and stuck them on the glass in the operating room before the surgery. It was a method I hadn't seen anywhere else. In the end, the surgery went well, I can breathe well, my crooked nose was corrected, and now my nose moves well enough that I can even do the pig-nose trick. It's been 7 years now, and the dermal graft hasn't gone down at all and is still there. I can breathe well, and I'm spending very happy days. He's the savior of my life. I heard he retired, and it's such a shame, and what I liked about this hospital was that it didn't feel like they were just out to make money. The surgeon personally handled my follow-up visits after the operation too. I think I spent over 20 million won just on my nose In conclusion, what I want to say is: never get silicone or rib cartilage. You will end up needing revision surgery for sure. If you want to decide, use your own tissue and make it natural. If you get too greedy, who knows how many times you'll need that surgery. That's from my own experience.
