It's been a while since I had the surgery, so I don't remember the exact date. I had surgery sometime around 2013 to 2014. I went for a consultation after reading the doctor's blog because it made me feel reassured, and even during the consultation he seemed very professional and confident. Originally I had a prognathic jaw with a malocclusion, so fundamentally I needed double jaw surgery, but the doctor gave me options: 1. double jaw surgery, 2. contouring (T osteotomy). The price difference was almost threefold, I think. At my young age back then, double jaw surgery felt way too major and scary, and the cost was a burden, so I got contouring instead. In the end, I'm living quite satisfied with the result. He looked at my malocclusion and prognathic jaw and said that during the T osteotomy he also pushed the jaw slightly inward. So now, from the front, the prognathic look doesn't really show, but from the side or when I smile, there is still a bit left because of the malocclusion. But over time, that actually started to look more natural, so I think it was a good choice. He made it into a natural line, so if I don't say anything, people think it's my natural face shape. The swelling may have been partly baby fat because I was still a bit young when I had it done, but it kept going down steadily for 2 or 3 years. Anyway, I joined this community to look for double eyelid information, and ended up leaving a review like this. I think it was lucky and a relief that I met this doctor and had the surgery so long ago.
