I had chin advancement surgery because I had a recessed chin. Honestly, aside from my throat hurting too much from the general anesthesia, there was not much discomfort after surgery. The aftercare was good as well. But aesthetically, I do not think my needs were communicated very well. Still, I think that is a typical reason people with a long midface do not feel satisfied after cosmetic surgery. If the midface is long, no matter what you do, the result ends up feeling a bit ambiguous.
