About 6 years ago I visited after seeing a blog and felt convinced, so I booked both the consultation and the surgery right away. A lot of people seem to be swayed by blogs. In the end, the surgery was done stably without serious side effects, cheek sagging, a squaring jaw, or step deformity. It was done in the standard safe way, and they used screws and osteotomy to fix things firmly (they said the screws did not need to be removed, so they are still in there). However, the discomfort I felt during the process from consultation through post-op care is something other people seem to feel too. It had the feeling of "we'll just take care of it for you" - it was hard to picture exactly what kind of change I would get. Also, there was a serious mistake made by the consultation manager at the time, which was very disappointing. The jaw angle surgery and T-osteotomy were fine, but the cheekbones are a bit disappointing. The cheekbones definitely got smaller, but overall I do not feel like my face got much smaller. The area above the temples still feels wide. Maybe because the front width of the face did not decrease much. I wonder if that is just the shape of my skull The inside of my mouth also has a scar left only on the left side where there was bruising at the time. I thought of the surgeon as an contouring expert, so I had a "please just do it for me" attitude, but I regret not having thought through what I wanted in more concrete terms and asking for it.
