In late 2019, I impulsively and blindly got non-incision alar reduction after seeing a YouTube ad. For the first 3 months I was extremely satisfied, but somehow the thread seems to have stretched and before I knew it my nose had gone back to how it originally was. Because nose shape changes from thread insertion are very temporary, if someone said they were going to do it, I would want to run over and talk them out of it. You get a prettier nose for a moment, but you have to live with nylon thread inside you for the rest of your life. Please do not do it, T_T Recently, when I asked where in my nose the thread had been placed because I was preparing for nose surgery, they told me to make an appointment and come in for a consultation, so I went back. In the meantime they also moved and got bigger. There are lots of Japanese people here. I squeezed out time to visit, but they made me wait 45 minutes, then a surgical nurse who was not even a doctor came out and explained for less than 1 minute before going back in. If that was the plan, they should have told me on the phone;;; and when I asked why I wanted to know this, they answered back as if I was being unreasonable. It was the first unpleasant experience I have had in a while.
