Eye Surgery review at Gaam (가암) · Double eyelid, incisional · 2019-07-12

I had buried suture double-eyelid surgery here, but it loosened, so I had revision surgery with an incision. Since I had the procedure at the same hospital, they adjusted the cost quite a bit for me. There are quite a few comments saying the coordinator is not friendly, but I went during the off-season, so everyone was kind and the hospital atmosphere was relaxed. The doctor seems like the type who wants to take responsibility for the surgery he performs until the very end. That should be obvious, but these days there are too many hospitals and doctors without integrity. Since it was an incision surgery, you can see the scar when I close my eyes, but it is not very noticeable. People around me cannot tell at all that I had revision surgery lol. Because it looks natural and the same doctor made a similarly styled line, even people who kept seeing my face didn't seem to notice. There isn't much aftercare. When I went to get the stitches removed, and later because I couldn't clean it properly, they took care of the debris? flakes? and similar buildup. The line is natural both from the buried-suture surgery before and from this incision surgery now. I asked them to make it bigger, but it seems they adjusted within a certain range and made it as natural as possible. Because the line itself is not heavy, recovery was very fast, and even though it was a full incision, the swelling was not bad enough to interfere with daily life. Of course, while I still had the stitches in, I hardly went out. I am extremely satisfied with the surgery results. Honestly, during surgery I did think they could have made it a little bigger, but it suits my face now, so that is fine. If it is not a difficult case, or if they judge that surgery cannot be proceeded with, the consultation seems to be a bit brief. I also didn't ask that many questions. Also, the building is not the flashy plastic-surgery building you usually imagine. It has a bit of a neighborhood-clinic feel, but I thought that also matched the hospital's atmosphere, so I didn't dislike it. The interior is clean.
