Nose Surgery review at Chiyu (치유) · 2022-01-27

Since this is a hospital that emphasizes communication, there were about two times when I had to wait inside the room in between. During those times, staff came by several times and asked whether I wanted tea or coffee, and with the chief consultant I was able to build rapport through conversations not only about my nose but also about personal topics. Including the waiting times and consultation time in between, it took a little under 1 hour and 30 minutes, and instead of a CT they took photos. The director carefully looked inside my nose directly and pressed inside it to check how much septum I had, whether the inside of my nose was bent, and whether I had rhinitis. They brought copies of the photos and explained carefully by drawing on the pictures what materials or methods would be used on the nose, and also carefully told me why my septum was small, and so on. After the explanation, they asked whether I understood and whether there was anything I did not understand. I really liked that after the explanation they neatly summarized everything they had explained so far once again. And when I showed the shape of nose I wanted, they explained which parts would need to change in order to get something similar to that nose. They explained everything so thoroughly that I had nothing left to ask, so I did not think the consultation fee was wasted. And maybe because they were looking at the overall harmony of the face, they mentioned nostril angle correction, which had not been mentioned elsewhere, and I was glad they explained why my mouth had always looked protruded. If I were to get it done here, I think many of the parts of my face that I did not like overall would improve, so I am looking forward to it. The only thing that bothers me is that at two other places where I had gotten CT scans, they had mentioned a bent nose, but here, even after looking inside my nose and pressing on it, they said it was not bent, so that is bothering me a bit and I think I need to think about it some more,,
