I had it about 5 to 6 years ago, and the natural adhesion has not loosened and has stayed in place. My younger sibling has had it redone several times and it kept coming undone, but mine has stayed. The swelling and bruising were not bad. In any case, I like that the retention lasts a long time. Still, the eyes are very slightly uneven, but my original eyes were uneven too... so it's fine. There always seemed to be a lot of people. Aftercare was so-so... once the surgery is done, it's basically over anyway lol..
