It seems like it’s been about 3 years since I had revision surgery for the outer corner of my eyes. About 10 years ago, I had outer canthoplasty at some random hospital without really looking into it, and after that I had scar tissue showing, constant tearing, and the outer corners of my eyes became widened and split open. The side effects were no joke. After looking and looking, I found out this clinic also does outer canthoplasty restoration, so I went in for a consultation with the feeling of grasping at straws. I agonized a lot over whether to do restoration or revision surgery. My eyes were already small and harsh-looking, so I was stressed out. If I chose restoration, I thought I’d go back to how my eyes looked 10 years ago, which worried me. With revision surgery, they said some side effects would remain, but they could slightly lower the raised outer corners. After much deliberation, I decided on revision surgery and went ahead with it. My condition improved a lot more than I expected, and the shape was much better than before. It’s only been 2 years, so I need to keep watching it, but the sharp outer-corner shape lasted for about a year and a half, and now it’s slowly changing into a 𐑂 shape. It must not go back PS: Now, in the 4th year, it hasn’t opened up again, but my eyes have gotten smaller. The white part is less visible.. maybe the fixed point made with dissolvable thread returned to its original position..?
