Without extraction, I only expanded with a maxillary expansion appliance for 3 months. The upper jaw is lingual and the lower jaw is labial. The upper teeth seem to be getting aligned somewhat, but I cannot tell what has changed with the lower teeth compared to half a year ago. Maybe it is because I started orthodontic treatment late. A younger acquaintance looked like her malocclusion was twice as severe as mine, but she finished orthodontic treatment in just 1 year. Conclusion: do it even one year earlier if you can ㅠ
