In the past, I was really into very flashy eyes, so when I had my buried double-eyelid surgery, I set the line quite high, you know? Back then I thought that looked sophisticated and pretty, but as time went on and I got older, my eyes started to lose strength, and it did make me look tired in a way,, Even when I looked in the mirror, the inner corners looked lifted and only the line seemed to float, so my impression felt too greasy and heavy, and I knew I could not leave it like that. So in the end I decided to lower the line and visited a lot of places that were good at revision surgery,, This time I wanted to change it to an in-out line that naturally fits inward, not the strange semi-out line that looked like it was floating, and I got it done at [Clinic A] and solved it,, ^^ During the consultation, when I said I had a strong dislike for incisional surgery and really wanted to avoid it, they fortunately reflected my needs and first suggested that they could redraw the line neatly with partial incision alone lol Then they carefully checked the strength of my eyelid opening and the muscles around my eyes, and said that because my eye-opening strength had become much weaker than before, just lowering the line might not remove the sleepy look, so they recommended ptosis correction. They also said that because I have a bit of fat in my upper eyelids, if done wrong it would be very easy to end up with sausage eyes again, and carefully pointed out that removing a little of that fat would make the eyes much fresher and more natural, so I trusted them right away and proceeded with surgery that way,, it all felt pretty smooth. On the day of surgery and early on, I did get some bruising because there was partial incision involved, but by day 3 it had turned into yellow bruises, so I was not too worried. Right after surgery, because of the ptosis correction and the swelling, opening my eyes felt a bit heavy and stiff. Still, my first surgery had been buried, so I was nervous that the swelling and bruising from a revision would be very bad, but the swelling was much less than I expected, and I felt really relieved inside lol When I went to the hospital at the 1-week mark to remove the stitches and looked in the mirror, the inner corner of my eye seemed to float upward like before surgery, so I panicked and thought, what is this? Did it fail? I got completely cold sweats So I fired off question after question at the doctor, asking if it would really come down lower lol Then the doctor smiled and said it was because there was still swelling inside and outside, and that as the swelling went down, the inner corner line would naturally settle downward, so there was no need to worry at all. That really put me at ease Actually, when I visited other hospitals for consultations, many of them said follow-up care would be handled by a separate manager, but here the doctor personally checked my progress and provided aftercare tailored to my eye condition that day!!! So during recovery, it was comfortable that I could ask the doctor right away about anything I was anxious or curious about. The doctor's personality itself was not stiff or cold, and even when I asked one thing, they explained everything gently with sincerity, so my anxious feelings settled down too! Normally, when I read other people here' reviews, they prepare pumpkin juice, drink swelling tea, and go for an hour-long walk every night, right? But honestly, I did none of that swelling management at all... lol;; So even at week 2, I still had a bit more swelling left than other people, but when I compared the old photos for writing this review, I could clearly see that compared with week 1, the eye line was much more organized and the line was settling into place, which was fascinating lol The official follow-up schedule was over, but I went back that day for swelling management too, and when the doctor looked at my eyes and said the surgery came out very naturally and well, I felt completely reassured inside! I honestly was not too worried about the incisional scar because I knew it would fade over time, but the doctor also told me that if I ever became concerned about the scar later, they would manage that separately anytime, so come by whenever convenient. That made me think they really cared about the patient, and that I had made the right choice.. Now that time has passed, the scar has faded so naturally that I do not think I need to go all the way to Apgujeong for follow-up care anymore lol The stiff and uncomfortable feeling when opening and closing my eyes from the ptosis correction at the beginning also improved little by little as if by magic after week 2, and now there is not even a trace of discomfort. It feels completely like my own eyes lol Looking back, I think I was able to feel at ease throughout the month of recovery because I met a doctor and manager who were more sincere about the surgical result and recovery than I was.
