As soon as I turned 20, I rushed off to get nose surgery, and this is a review from 6 years later. I raised it fairly high, so at first anyone could tell it was a surgically altered nose, but now it has settled into a pretty shape. Still, maybe because I made it too high, it became a pinched nose.. I never had issues like inflammation or necrosis even once. My original nasal bridge was somewhat crooked, and as expected this fake nose ended up crooked too. There were no particular downsides.
