After going around to about four hospitals for consultations, I went to Named for a consultation this morning and immediately booked my surgery here! The biggest reason I decided was that while consulting with the doctor, I felt convinced that I should do it here! There were many other hospitals that were kind, but I was drawn to Named! When I had consultations at other hospitals, I didn’t feel convinced that I should do it there. But at Named, Director Lee Byung-jun was confident and only told me exactly what was necessary, so I trusted him the most.
When you go around for consultations, they all tell you similar procedure details. I commonly received estimates for silicone, nasal tip, hump nose, osteotomy, and bulbous nose correction, but at Named, they said they did not recommend osteotomy. They said osteotomy is usually for people whose nasal bone itself is wide, but in my case, it looks that way because of the bridge bone, not because the inner nasal bone itself is wide. They said doing osteotomy would not be a wrong method, but the doctor does not recommend it!
I don’t remember exactly, but many other hospitals said my septal cartilage was small, so they probably wouldn’t be able to use it. At Named, they said it was on the small side, but when they touched it, it felt firm, so they thought it would be usable. Since this is also my first surgery, I think they said they would use my septal cartilage as much as possible! Somehow everyone else just cut me off right away saying it wouldn’t work, but Director Lee Byung-jun was full of confidence and I immediately felt I could trust him!
They also analyzed my overall face shape and what type it is, and explained while drawing on my photo on a tablet, saying that doing only about this much would be enough, so that part was easier to understand! Overall, they were thorough and kind, so I really liked it! They quickly understood what I wanted, and both the consultant and the director were cheerful and kind, so I kept asking questions without feeling uncomfortable, and they explained everything in great detail!
Anyway... I had been so worried and tired because finding a hospital took so long, but I’m so happy I found a hospital that fits me...ㅠㅠ The staff were also very kind, there was no pressure, and especially, although the price is not cheap, I liked that it was calculated without overcharging!
