I had nose surgery 3 times from 2019 to 2021. Less than 5-6 months after the third nose surgery, it felt like something was protruding from my nose, and then the silicone ended up protruding. After that, maybe the inflammation got severe, but it gradually became contracted and reached a serious state.
I couldn't even take off my mask outside, and I developed social avoidance, so I was so depressed and every day was hard. When it became possible to have revision surgery, I visited countless places multiple times, including hospitals said to be famous for contracted nose and even university hospitals, but they honestly refused, saying they had no confidence, that the surgery seemed difficult and I should go to a university hospital, charged tens of millions of won for surgery fees, and so on... surgery refusal... At the university hospital, they even recommended a forehead flap surgery.
When I looked up what a forehead flap was... ah... I thought I had no hope. Then at one place, I met a director who honestly told me it would be extremely difficult and take time, but that he would do his best. I was really scared, but I wanted to grab onto even the last straw, so I trusted him, had a skin graft on my columella, and am now waiting for the second-stage reconstructive surgery.
I haven't seen anyone in the community with a nose as serious as mine, but I am writing this with courage for someone somewhere who may be similar to me.
