About 10 years ago, I had my first nose surgery with a friend at a no-name place, and back then, nose surgery wasn't at the point where things like autologous costal cartilage were really being used yet, so I had it done with an L-shaped silicone implant. But when it was cold, my nasal tip would get so red, so after thinking about it for a really long time, I had revision surgery.
I had nose revision surgery + columella lowering + septal cartilage + alar reduction, and I think I couldn't touch my nose for about a month. It hurt even if something just brushed against it; since the alar reduction involved tying inside the nose, I was really sensitive about it.
My nasal bridge itself was low, so they couldn't raise it much, but I'm satisfied with the nostril wings and dissatisfied with the bridge.
For people with a low nasal bridge, if you want a high nose, just doing it with rib cartilage will probably reduce what could be two or three surgeries into one.. Right now I don't feel like getting surgery again with rib cartilage, but it's disappointing and still disappointingㅋㅋㅋㅋ I do think the revision surgery itself was a good decision.
