Ever since I was young, having wide nostril wings was my biggest complex. (My nickname was even “500-won nostrils” ㅠ) Because of that, I saved up money and finally decided to have surgery! Since I was going to have surgery anyway, I wanted to do it at a clinic that would do it properly, so I think I searched through various communities, including this community, for about a month ㅠㅠ I heard alar reduction is usually around 1 million won, so I was also thinking in that range, but maybe because the price was cheap, the designs felt factory-like and I didn’t like them. Since this was really something I’d do only once, I wanted a natural-looking nose that suited my face shape even if I had to pay more, and I found out that Director Yoon In-mo of Unimedi Plastic Surgery had exactly that surgical philosophy. When I went for the consultation in person, he said exactly what I was thinking: a well-done nose surgery is one where people around you feel something has changed, but it looks as if you did and didn’t have anything done, while still being pretty. I also didn’t want an overly dramatic change, so I booked the surgery right away and left haha. If I had only done alar reduction, the cost wouldn’t have been that high, but to improve the upturned “dragon nose” look, dermis was inserted, and because my alar rims were also droopy, they lifted the alar rims too, so I had three things done in total: alar reduction + artificial dermis + alar rim lift! If I had only reduced the alae, only the nostrils would have gotten smaller and it might have looked even stranger, but I think I’m even more satisfied because the surgery considered the overall proportions ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

On the day of surgery, the nose naturally swelled a lot, but even with swelling, I was so satisfied. How should I put it, it felt like the shape had become prettier? So I really looked forward to seeing it after the swelling went down haha. I had the stitches removed about a week later (excluding the dissolvable stitches inside the nose), and after that, even when I went around without a mask, people I knew didn’t notice! But I also heard things I don’t usually hear, like that I seemed more handsome, and that something seemed different, so I felt proud thinking the surgery must have gone well haha. By 1 month, most of the major swelling had disappeared, and my nose looked much slimmer. And now it has been about 2 months; compared with month 1, the minor swelling is gradually going down more and more, so it feels like it’s getting even prettier! I’m so satisfied, and I really love Unimedi and Director Yoon In-mo ㅠㅠㅠ I’ll come back with another review when I’m at 3 months haha
