I’m back with reviews of the hospitals I reserved after researching online last time! There are still some hospitals I haven’t visited yet, but I’ll leave reviews for the ones I’ve been to first!
First, my eyes were monolids, but as I got older, my eyelids started to droop and I lost a lot of facial fat, so double eyelids naturally formed! My left eye became an outer line, and my right eye became vaguely somewhere between an inline and an in-out line, so my eyes are uneven. Because the shape and height of my double eyelids are quite asymmetrical, I focused on finding hospitals and getting consultations with the goal of making them more symmetrical and having eyes that look natural and clear!
1. Sinsa N.S.H / S.W.Y (manager -> doctor -> manager) / consultation fee: none - Partial incision + buried suture 880,000 won (990,000 if not booked on the same day) - Buried suture + partial incision + slight fat removal - Surgery planned to take about 30 minutes, under sleep anesthesia + local anesthesia, while looking at the eyes during surgery - The manager was kind, and I liked that they asked in detail about my concerns and what I wanted for my eyes - The doctor also explained things carefully while drawing the line, pointed out my situation such as the strength of my eye-opening muscles and eyelid thickness, and said I did not necessarily need canthoplasty; I liked that they did not recommend unnecessary procedures. They also looked at my face with the mask off overall. (And when explaining, they drew the eyes and compared them to pants, which made it easy to understand.) - 3 years AS, 3 sessions of swelling laser
They emphasized that there is a discount if you book on the same day. But they did not push me to reserve forcefully or anything like that. The overall friendliness was nice. I visited on a Monday evening, and there were no people waiting, so I got a consultation right away. I remember the consultation took about 40 minutes. -> It was my first surgery, so I was a bit hesitant about partial incision and fat removal. The consultation was kind, but I don’t think I’ll go ahead with surgery there!
2. Sinsa J.Y.J.Y / G.B.Y (manager -> doctor -> manager) / consultation fee: none - Buried suture + ptosis correction + slight fat removal - No event discount; 1.65 million - Surgery planned to take 30 minutes to 1 hour, under sleep anesthesia + local anesthesia, while looking at the eyes during surgery - They explained my current eye condition, such as eye-opening strength and eyelid thickness, and when I asked about ptosis correction, they drew the eyes and explained gently and clearly. They kindly asked if I had any other questions, and I think they also did a good job shaping the line. The manager was kind too. There were a few people waiting, but the consultation happened quickly; about 10 minutes waiting + 20 minutes total consultation time -> Again, I’m hesitant because of ptosis correction and fat removal, and the price was the highest, so I’m not planning to have surgery!
3. Nonhyeon K.R.M / G.J.H (manager -> doctor -> manager) / consultation fee: none - Buried suture + ptosis correction + upper canthoplasty; if you do upper canthoplasty, then with review/event discount it’s 1.9 million, and if you don’t do upper canthoplasty, 1.11 million - Unlimited swelling laser / 2 years AS / come in the day after surgery for disinfection and a check of your condition - They briefly talked about my current eye condition, but the doctor just said what they had to say and left, so I was disappointed. Maybe I expected too much because the doctor specializes in eyes.. it felt like they were only giving fixed lines, like a set script, so it was hard to ask more things. They recommended incision more strongly, but said buried suture was still possible since my eyes are not impossible for it and it’s my first surgery - The manager was kind, but asked which other hospitals I had consulted at -> After consultations here, I started feeling confused, thinking maybe upper canthoplasty and ptosis correction are things I have to do...? Anyway, the doctor was kind, but something felt uncomfortable, so I did not feel like getting surgery there. No waiting, and it was the shortest consultation!
4. Sinnonhyeon D.D.K / G.H.S (photo shoot -> manager -> doctor -> manager) / consultation fee: none - Non-incisional 1,000,000 (1,100,000 including VAT) / under-eye fat repositioning 1,290,000 (1,419,000 including VAT) - Swelling laser once when removing stitches / AS is 1 year, but if the double eyelids loosen within 3 years, you can get surgery again by only paying the anesthesia fee - Surgery takes 30 to 40 minutes, under sleep anesthesia + local anesthesia, while looking at the eyes during surgery - The doctor was kind, marked lines 1-3, and said both semi in-out and in-out shapes were possible depending on the line I liked, showing both shapes; after looking at my face photo, they also just recommended that under-eye fat repositioning and forehead lift are things many people do these days (I forgot to ask about eye condition details like eyelid thickness or eye-opening strength, so I didn’t hear about them) - During my first consultation, it was the first time I experienced a manager drawing lines like a doctor and saying as if making a diagnosis that I was someone who needed upper canthoplasty too.. After the doctor consultation, during the manager consultation, they asked again whether the doctor had said to do upper canthoplasty, which was confusing.. - 30 minutes waiting -> photo shoot -> 30 minutes waiting, total waiting time 1 hour… The waiting was so long that I got tired -> They marked low, medium, and high lines, and also drew all the semi in-out shapes, which I liked the most. The manager being a bit unfriendly is a concern, but this is a hospital I’m considering for surgery
5. Sinsa T.W.S / Y.S.C (manager -> doctor -> manager) / consultation fee: 10,000 won - Natural adhesion 800,000 (probably including VAT) / incision 990,000 + ptosis correction + upper eyelid fat repositioning 900,000 = 1.89 million (probably including VAT) - Vitamin injection service worth 70,000 won (during surgery) + swelling laser (none separately for buried suture, but maybe as a service at the manager’s discretion?) - Surgery planned to take about 1 hour, under sleep anesthesia + local anesthesia, while looking at the eyes during surgery - Non-incisional is possible, but since it lowers the line from the original one, incision is a more relaxed surgical method, though not impossible. Still, they honestly said it may loosen over time. When I asked about eye condition such as eyelid thickness, eye fat, and eye-opening strength, they answered kindly and well (They seemed cold, but if you ask, they answer in a way that’s easy to understand.) - I waited about 30 minutes, and there were several Chinese clients and quite a few others waiting -> Both the manager and doctor were kind, and the price was not bad, so I’m considering surgery there, but recent hospital reviews have been a bit poor, so I’m torn
6. Sinnonhyeon E.M.R / D.Y.R (manager -> doctor -> manager) / consultation fee: none - Non-incisional 1.1 million (1.43 million including VAT) -> review event price (you may need to upload a review image where the full face appears, but the lower face is blurred, to SNS) - 1 year AS / 2 sessions of swelling laser - Sleep + local anesthesia / surgery takes about 1 hour - During the manager consultation, they took a face photo on my phone and the manager drew the line; they also asked which hospitals I had visited. They asked whether I wanted upper canthoplasty and ptosis correction, and what price I wanted. - They clearly said non-incisional would be enough, and that ptosis correction or fat removal was not necessary. They also drew a line with upper canthoplasty, but when I said I wasn’t sure, they concluded that canthoplasty was not really necessary either. They answered well when I asked about eye condition, and were precise about what could and could not be done surgically. A bit cool, but kind, confident, and they immediately understood the direction I wanted - The waiting time was way too long.. all the waiting in between added up to about 1 hour 30 minutes, and the actual doctor consultation felt like only 10 minutes.. Before the doctor consultation, they even scolded the managers outside for making patients wait too long and not scheduling properly When entering the room too, they said, “You must have waited a long time,” and then vented TMI about how they always get scolded but the long wait times still don’t get fixed -> The doctor seemed very confident, and the hospital is very famous, and the line looked good, so I’m considering it
I still have consultations left at Apgujeong E.M.D and Apgujeong M.C.P, and I’ll compare them after those.. Right now, the hospitals I’m torn between are D.D.K, T.W.S, and E.M.R! I liked the line at D.D.K the most, but E.M.R’s line wasn’t bad either! T.W.S also has an honest doctor and the price is decent, so I’m struggling between the three
Actually, I already have double eyelids, so this is about matching the symmetry with a middle line between the two existing double eyelids.. After visiting hospitals, the lines are all a bit similar, so it’s really hard to decide which hospital to choose as the 기준 for surgery.
