I was stressed about having small, clam-like eyes with blocked outer corners, so eyeliner was essential for me. Five years ago, at a hospital famous for lateral canthoplasty, I paid 1.4 million won as an event price for a combined surgery of lateral canthoplasty + lowering the outer corners of the eyes, and got lateral canthoplasty. The good thing about this place was that immediately afterward, swelling, conjunctivitis, and chemosis were on the lower side, and the result was natural. Instead.. the downside was that they emphasized local anesthesia rather than sleep sedation for the surgery, and it hurt so, so, so much I thought I might die. I’m someone who endured double eyelid surgery and rhinoplasty too, but canthoplasty hurt so much that I cried, my back was soaked in sweat, and when the surgery ended and I came out of the chair, I collapsed down onto the floor. At 2 to 3 weeks, my eyes came out in a puppy-eye line like Suzy’s, so I was satisfied. But when I looked 6 months later, it had slightly reattached. Still, it was better than before.
