Eye Surgery Reviews

Review of going from a fierce chihuahua to NewJeans Minji

People often said I looked a bit cold in everyday life. Once people got to know me, they found me fun, but first impressions were often that I looked cold and rude Whenever I became close enough for us to talk about first impressions later, people would say, nicely, that I looked aloof and cold, and harshly that I looked rude. From middle school through high school, I heard that no matter who it was. I’m just an introvert, and I just can’t start conversations first, but because of how I look people said I seemed rude, and I kept wondering if it was because of my eyes. Even in social settings, hearing those things made me think maybe I should get double eyelid surgery. I had a hidden double eyelid, but unless I raised my eyes, it was barely visible, so a lot of people thought I had monolids. In selfies, almost every photo was taken from below like that That way my hidden double eyelid would show a little, and my eyes looked bigger, so I knew my eyes were just a little bit set apart. That’s why I thought I probably needed an epicanthoplasty too. Every time I went for a consultation, I kept saying I wanted a softer image that would feel gentle to others. I didn’t have a specific line I wanted, and asked them to choose whatever line suited me best. After consulting at a few places, I eventually chose the hospital where my friend had surgery. I had natural adhesion double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction + front canthoplasty + upper canthoplasty. They gave me an in-out line. Even on the day of surgery, there was almost no swelling or bruising. I thought maybe the line was a little high, but I decided to wait and see. Since it was canthoplasty, there was a little visible sign near the inner corner of the eye, but I thought this was much more manageable than I had expected. After just one week, the bruising from the front canthoplasty had completely gone down, and from then on I wanted to run right outside. At the two-week mark, I tried taking photos with eye shadow on. Before, my eyes looked like monolids, so even with eye shadow it didn’t look especially pretty, but now it gave off a slightly deep and pure impression I wanted to go to Olive Young and buy palettes like crazy, but I held back and only bought one and went home. Combined with my long straight hair It’s embarrassing to say this myself, but it gives a NewJeans Minji vibe. My friends said I looked like Minji for 0.1 seconds after the surgery, but what does 0.1 seconds even mean? Even a Minji-like vibe is fine with me I don’t take selfies from below anymore; now I take them straight on. Just as I wanted, my face looks softer, prettier, and more pure, so I actually enjoy taking photos and keep changing my profile picture whenever I can.
