First, as soon as I arrived, I filled out my personal information, had a CT scan, and then had consultations in the order of consultant -> director -> consultant! The hospital is really big and fancy. Up through the CT scan, everything went without waiting, but after the consultation with the consultant, they said the director was in surgery, so I waited about 1 hour.. Since the wait got long, the consultant came by in the middle and explained various things. She briefly looked over the CT, had me take off my mask, and gave a short consultation about my nose. She mentioned a deviated nose, arrow-shaped nose, hump nose, and bulbous nose. She was kind and explained things well, but I was a bit flustered because I had never been told in my life that I had a bulbous nose..
After waiting, I had the consultation with the director. He was an otolaryngology specialist, and since it was right after surgery, he seemed quite tired? He also looked inside my nose with an endoscope and explained things. I said I didn’t want to touch the bridge of my nose and absolutely didn’t want silicone, so he said it would probably be fine to slightly shave the hump, lay a thin layer of AlloDerm on top, and raise the nasal tip with septal cartilage. He said osteotomy would probably be needed too, but when I had a consultation at a plastic surgery clinic in Incheon, they said osteotomy probably wouldn’t be needed, so I’m going to ask when I go for consultations at other hospitals!
After that, I met the consultant again and heard the price and diagnosis. It felt like there was pressure to put down a deposit, and I kind of ended up putting down a deposit in a blur. I’m planning to do it a bit later, so they did say that if I contact them by July, they’ll refund 100% of it..
