My natural nose was extremely low, so I got 6 mm silicone inserted. That is honestly really high for a woman... But in my case, it matched well with my skin/tissue characteristics and the harmony of my other facial features, so I decided after thorough consultation. So you absolutely shouldn’t read my post and blindly say, “Please put in 6 mm silicone for me”... First, I started going around for consultations last September and had the surgery in December - The places I went to for consultations were strangely hard to book... Especially places like ㄹㅂㄹ, I waited over 2 weeks - I live in Gyeonggi-do, so if I go to Seoul, I have to set aside a whole day… You think I can just get there directly by taking a red bus? You really don’t know the sorrow of a Gyeonggi-do resident... On unlucky days, I’ve spent about two and a half hours one way - If you only look at reviews, everywhere looks good, so there was a time when I was kind of overwhelmed. Going everywhere seemed like it would drain my energy, and I was afraid I’d get swept up and put down a deposit somewhere I didn’t even like.. (My personality is kind of socially awkward) Surgery - I said I wanted a very dramatic nose, right? So I mainly went for consultations at places that use autologous costal cartilage well. You know harvesting it well so it doesn’t leave a scar is also an advanced technique, right...? - I don’t regret having surgery with autologous costal cartilage, but I think there’s no helping the firm feeling at the nasal tip - Honestly, the thought I had after removing the splint was negative. I had 6 mm inserted and was swollen stiff, so that makes sense... My eyes and face were even swollen too at that time, so I suddenly felt like I had become a “Gangnam beauty,” and it was mentally hard. But after waiting exactly two months, I got such a pretty dramatic line that I was praying, “Please don’t let it go down any more than this” - Now I’ve gotten used to my operated nose, so when I see old photos, I get startled...;;; The biggest change is that my long, low nose changed into a refined shape?? The height changed a lot too, but I’m most satisfied that my midface looks shorter. If I could only choose between increasing the nose height / changing the shape, for me it’s absolutely increasing height <<<<<<<<<< changing the shape What changed after doing it - Honestly, I wondered whether to write this because it feels guilty... But now if I dress up and go out to a busy area, people absolutely ask for my number… And before, I used to try to make my midface look shorter by shading the nasal tip in a dark U shape, but when I look at old photos now, it’s legendary-level embarrassing... Now I like that I only need to do light shading like regular people do (Actually, it’s high enough that I don’t even need shading, but it’s the remnants of my appearance obsession…) - Even when I drink, I absolutely don’t drink until I’m blackout drunk. I reduced how often I drink in the first place. Drinking causes inflammation throughout the whole body, right...? Early after surgery, I was scared of inflammation, so I got used to not drinking, and naturally my drinking plans decreased too. And even when I occasionally go out drinking, I don’t get insanely drunk like before. My drunk habit is that I can’t control my body properly, lie down anywhere, and fall over, you know. For real, if I break my nose, the revision surgery cost would be terrifying, and I get scared thinking it might not be restorable Overall - If you’re like me and have an extremely long midface and low nose, just do it... Before surgery, there were so many people nagging me, saying noses always lead to revision and even second revision, if contracture happens and you miss the timing it can’t be restored, inflammation happens easily, noses look obvious no matter how natural they are, etc. But after seeing my surgery now, they completely shut up. Because even they can see it turned out well... I used to have pretty severe appearance obsession, but mentally I’ve improved a lot too. Also, I couldn’t include photos because my friends use this community too
