Review of Two Facial Contouring Procedures: Square Jaw and Mild Protruding Chin

Before surgery, my biggest concerns were my square jaw and slightly protruding chin, and as time went on, those areas bothered me even more. Especially whenever I took photos, depending on the angle, my jawline looked prominent, so I think it caused me a lot of stress. So I had square jaw reduction, chin surgery, and jawline liposuction together with Dr. Oh Jeong-seok at Contour Standard. In the early period after surgery, because there was swelling, it felt like I was focusing more on recovery rather than noticing a major change, but as time passed and the residual swelling gradually went down, I could feel that things were very different between one month after surgery and now. The swelling is still continuing to go down, so I’m looking forward to seeing how much more definition my line will develop. The biggest change is my facial line, and I think people around me often tell me that my face has become much smaller. Before facial contouring, when taking photos, I was very conscious of my jaw area, so I paid a lot of attention to angles and also edited photos, but now even if I just take photos without doing any of that, I get pictures I’m satisfied with, so it has become much more comfortable! Even a few days after surgery, I didn’t have major discomfort, and now there is absolutely no inconvenience in daily life from having had facial contouring surgery. I’m just thinking about when the swelling will go down and how much more the line will come alive. Everyone says that if you don’t do aftercare, things will sag, but I find taking care of my face really bothersome, so I didn’t do anything. Maybe because I had liposuction and facial contouring surgery together, there is no sagging, and I’m living just the same as I did before the contouring surgery. I can feel that my jaw has become slimmer exactly the way I wanted, without being excessive and without straying too far from my original face shape. My overall satisfaction is really high, and even if I were told to do it again, I think I would. Honestly, the one thing I regret is that I should have done my cheekbones together too. I genuinely keep regretting that. Still, I’m also planning to have the pins removed once I reach 6 months after surgery, so I’m looking forward to the changes after that as well.
