It’s day 3 after my nose implant removal! I can’t sleep, so I’ll try writing this! If you look at my previous post, you’ll know, but: Early March: nose contraction -> bruising on the nasal bridge continued, and it stayed bruised all the way until surgery 20 years ago, I had silicone placed only in the nasal bridge (closed approach) I had surgery last Saturday, and I’m currently on day 3 A lot of people had work done all the way to the nasal tip, so my humble experience may not be that helpful, but still, for those who only had silicone! I’ll write this
There’s no pain after surgery. Maybe because it was a removal.. Occasionally the stitched area stings, but this much doesn’t even feel like it counts as pain As for bruising/swelling, it’s basically like Avatar meets Beast, no joke. They say it differs for everyone, and today is day 3, but it is going down pretty quickly Until yesterday, I couldn’t really open my eyes well
Why did I remove it? I lived fine for 20 years with no problems and had almost forgotten about it, but last month contraction started, and after that the bluish bruising didn’t disappear for 3 weeks. That’s how I found out about a community, and I got consultations at most of the hospitals people say are famous + I also searched blogs like crazy Where did I do it? Not one of the “top three,” just somewhere moderate The famous places were too expensive. Around 3-4 million won As I said earlier, mine was silicone + capsule removal, and they weren’t even touching the nasal tip… but by my standards, the price was a bit excessive. Then I just had it done by a director I found through an acquaintance’s referral (I won’t share hospital info / I don’t think for even 1 second that just because I’m satisfied, others will be too)
The reason is that I went to several consultations, and generally there were 2 types: Removal + revision surgery possible with autologous dermis Removal only - since inflammation isn’t visible to the eye, consider it calmly after 6-8 months
I’m timid, and because of possible inflammation + the fact that I had recently experienced my immune system breaking down, I decided on a place that said, “Let’s only remove it.” And I said okay when they told me that if I really don’t like it later in life, it’s not too late to think about revision surgery then. After looking at the director’s background, I felt I could entrust my humble nose to them They told me in advance that when removing the silicone and capsule, they couldn’t remove everything. They judged that, given my skin condition, removing everything would not be good The surgery was done under sedation, so I really felt nothing during the surgery, and when I woke up, there was a little discomfort from being thirsty After the surgery, I felt so relieved! Actually, my physical condition wasn’t good, so I suddenly had to postpone the surgery the day before the scheduled date, and I was super sensitive. And the anxiety of not knowing when this might contract again or become inflamed makes a person extremely sensitive Even a little pain makes you sensitive… Once you decide on removal -> I recommend going on consultations right away! My mind had been controlled by my body for 2 months..
If you’re considering removal, just go to all the consultations!!! At first, I went to a local plastic surgery clinic, and instead of contraction/inflammation, they told me the nasal tip was lacking, so I should do revision surgeryㅎ Go to several places and go to all the consultations you want! You’re tired?! Of course you’re tired!! But you have to do it, it’s your nose.. I had lived with a wall between me and cosmetic surgery, and then I learned about capsules through a community and also learned about things like contraction phases, so at first I was like, “What should I ask?” But then I asked at every consultation whether the things I had learned applied to my case too Then whether removal alone is enough or whether to do revision surgery becomes clearer!
And don’t just pay a deposit recklessly!! If you want to pay a deposit, check the clinic’s closed days carefully and make sure in advance of the date when a 100% refund is possible (most important) I missed this and had the issue of losing my deposit… If possible, postpone nose surgery before childbirth After having two kids, if stamina issues and immunity issues all overlap, contraction can happen like it did to me.. (Of course, there are people who don’t experience that)
And 20 years ago, I had nose surgery because I was unhappy with my appearance. At the time, it briefly raised my self-esteem, but in the end, I wondered.. did my self-esteem become healthy enough to be worth this pain? Even when taking a plane, I’d think, “If there’s an accident, what about my nose?” What if I bump heads while playing with my kids? (Yes.. I’m a worry dollㅋㅋ) In reality, it also felt like having homework I’d put off, thinking, “I need to redo my nose.”
I had removal because of contraction and suspected inflammation, but After removal, my nasal bridge will be lower, and my eyes will look that much farther apart, but.. just the fact that I removed a ticking time bomb makes me feel good Everyone, be happy!!
