I am currently 3 months post-op after my first rhinoplasty using autologous costal cartilage. I had the surgery performed by Director Kim Hyun-joo at RU Plastic Surgery. First of all, the overall nose line and height have settled naturally, so my facial proportions feel much more balanced than before. I’m especially satisfied because the nose line looks clean from the side profile. However, maybe because it has only been 3 months, the nasal tip is not completely soft yet and still feels slightly firm. Also, from the front, there is a part that looks a bit blunt, but I think this will gradually become slimmer as more swelling goes down and the tissue softens over time. At my recent follow-up appointment, I was told that I am recovering well without any particular problems, and the swelling is also gradually going down. Overall, I’m quite satisfied so far, and I’m looking forward to the changes as it settles more naturally with time.
