Review of alar reduction at a plastic surgery clinic in Seomyeon, Busan

Since middle school, my nasal alae would get wider when I ran or exercised, and because of that, I often thought that I wanted to get alar reduction surgery. When I became a senior in high school, my aunts and their friends around me said it would be better to do it before it got any later, so I searched “Busan alar reduction” on Naver. The plastic surgery clinic in Seomyeon that I went to came up, so I went with mixed feelings. I had my surgery consultation around the end of March, and during the consultation, the director was extremely kind, and the nurses were also extremely kind. They explained even the things I didn’t know one by one in such a friendly way, so it was really nice!!! Since it overlapped with my school graduation photos, I booked the surgery for April 4 and had the operation. It was my first surgery, so I was really scared and nervous, but there was absolutely no need to be. After anesthesia, I fell asleep, and when I woke up, the surgery was already over. After the surgery, they explained everything very kindly and even gave me an ice pack and pumpkin juice 😍🫶 On day 1, I didn’t really have any pain. Around day 2, I also have rhinitis, and because they had lightly blocked the front of my nostrils, I think breathing was a little uncomfortable. From day 3, I started having a little pain, and on day 4, I went to the clinic, had the nostril blockage removed, and took off the tape. There was still a little swelling in the shape of my nostrils, but I could feel that they had become much smaller than before!! Around day 5, I remember having about half of the stitches removed. The pain had also decreased a lot, and I think I felt that once only the swelling went down, my nose would look pretty. On day 6, there wasn’t much pain, and the swelling had gone down a little, so I thought it would look really pretty once only the stitches were removed. Finally, day 7!! On day 7, the director came and said it seemed okay to remove the stitches, so I had all the stitches removed. The day after removing the stitches, I went to see my friends, and they all said it looked pretty and asked where I had it done hehe. It has now been 19 days since the surgery, and as I’ve been applying the scar ointment the director gave me and another ointment well, my nose has really transformed into a pretty nose. The kids around me often say it turned out really well and that they want to get alar reduction surgery too haha. Even when I look at it, it looks completely natural, and I’m so grateful and happy that they made nasal alae that suit my face!!
