First of all, I had under-eye fat repositioning 3 years ago, and the volume hollowed out quickly, so I additionally had fat grafting a year and a half ago. I shouldn’t have been greedy, but that became the problem then, and it over-engrafted. The tissue stretched and sagged, so my midface and skin looked stretched, and under my eyes became bumpy with uneven levels. Since only the grafted area was swollen, my whole face looked awkward and puffy. Because too much fat had been put under my eyes, my aegyo-sal looked like it had disappeared too. Anyway, it was a total mess lol
After putting up with it and putting up with it, I eventually had foreign material removal surgery, and I also had a dermal graft and midface lift done together. (Not like middle-aged anti-aging surgery, just enough so it wouldn’t sag.) At first I swelled and bruised like a monster, and the swelling was so severe that I’ve been sleeping sitting up until today.
My eyes are uncomfortable. Since I’m an office worker, I rested over the weekend after surgery and went straight back to work, but my eyes were uncomfortable, and when I strained, I got dizzy and felt motion sick lol Still, I did work.
Anyway, seriously, don’t do fat grafting carelessly. They removed about 80-90%, but they couldn’t remove absolutely all of it. And I did it under local anesthesia, and it drove me insane. It hurts and is mentally really hard. I cried the whole way home after the surgery. When they operated under local anesthesia and when they took the dermis, it was all under local anesthesia. If it doesn’t hurt and you only feel sensation, it’s okay, but it hurt... lol I yelled a few times asking if I was really anesthetized and saying I couldn’t do it lol The pain and the sensation itself were mentally hard and also bizarre^^
Anyway, after enduring that awful time, I’m now going to get the stitches removed. It swells more than I expected.. Seriously, I was scared to look in the mirror. For real, it was at the level of “who are you?”.. lol I think I may have swollen more because I also had foreign material removal.. Anyway, because I’m swollen I can’t tell well, but so far I’m satisfied. After removing the taping, it became much smoother and feels somewhat more organized. Of course, it’s only day 6, so I still don’t know completely, but once all the bruising and swelling go down, I’ll post a review.
