Nose Re-Surgery

Please leave comments. I’m on day 4 after nose reconstruction surgery, and after removing the splint, I’m freaking out over my midface

I had surgery to restore my nose back to how it originally was because of a saddle nose, so they used autologous costal cartilage. But right now my midface feels so freaking long that, subjectively, I can’t even see my philtrum, and it feels like the tip of my nose is almost touching my upper lip. But when I look back at old photos and compare the midface length, it’s similar…. Can swelling suddenly make the midface look freaking longer and make the whole facial image look completely masculine…? I seriously want to die.. Maybe I got used to living with a saddle nose for over 8 months, but now my midface suddenly looks witch-like and I seriously want to die. Is this normal..? I really hate people who only say “it’s swelling” (I’ve been through too much, and this time I really thought of it as my last surgery, so I had it done even though it was freaking expensive) Even accounting for swelling, it looks freaking long, so what the hell is it really? I’ve had anxiety after surgery about it looking upturned, but this is my first time freaking out because it looks too long, so I feel like I’m losing my mind… If anyone here was like me, please make sure to leave a comment.. Please, think of it as saving one person
