Swelling: I still can’t believe it’s only day 5.. From day 3, the swelling started going down noticeably, and even now the swelling is clearly different from yesterday! I want to see my face after it goes down quickly. Even though there’s still plenty of swelling, I can see that my cheekbones are gone, so it’s fascinating.. How did they shave them down like this.. I’m seriously in awe of the director....... I wondered what everyone meant by “candy swelling,” but after looking at my face now, I immediately understood, ah, this is candy swelling..
Pain: I have no pain at all now, and I sleep way too well;;
Sleep: Maybe because I have a compression bandage and gauze all the way up to my ears, I can’t hear the surrounding noise, so my sleep quality has gotten better than before surgery..
Cough, runny nose: It feels like there’s really a lot of mucus built up inside my nose? And I’m coughing a lot, like when I had tonsillitis. This is the hardest part.
Hygiene: For washing, I shower every day and it isn’t uncomfortable. They told me not to brush my teeth for a week, but just a little.. I used that mini toothbrush just a little... I use mouthwash frequently. But I didn’t necessarily do it once every hour or anything like that. When I went to the hospital on day 3, the director said my condition looked fine.
Meals: I’m eating way too well, so that’s a problem... Ah, but when I chew, the teeth near my molars feel uncomfortable, so since I can’t really chew, I have less appetite and eat less than usual. I’m worried this might lead to cheek adhesion.... lol
Swelling care: I do cold compresses whenever I think of it, and I walk reeeeally a lot (over 10,000 steps from days 3 and 4), so maybe that’s why the swelling went down quickly?? Pumpkin juice tastes so bad that I don’t really end up drinking it lol
Going out: From day 3, I met my boyfriend, and on day 4 I went on a date with my boyfriend. My condition was good, so I’ve been happily going out and having fun!! I’m also taking lots and lots of walks with my dog.
