I mean, I can’t believe it’s already been 9 months.. I was getting used to it because it really feels like my own face now, but I went to a class reunion after a long time and really felt the difference lol It was a day when I thought five hundred million times all over again that I’m so glad I had the surgery!! A friend I was seeing today for the first time in almost a year said the moment she saw me, “Why has your whole vibe changed so much? Are you dating these days? Why does your face look so clear?” and kept staring at me, and I seriously had such a hard time holding back my laughter inside lol
When I told them I had my eyes (upper epicanthoplasty) and nose done together, all my friends screamed and asked if that was really true lol They said they had no idea because there wasn’t even a single scar!! Especially for my nose, it was my first surgery, so I had it done in a really natural straight-with-slight-curve line, and they said if I hadn’t told them, they would have thought I was just someone who naturally had a high nose and defined features.. hehe
One friend looked at my eyes and said, “How can it look this natural even though you had a canthoplasty?” and made such a fuss asking me to look at her eyes too and give her the information, so I unexpectedly ended up setting up a consultation center at the cafe lol
Now that I’m 9 months post-op, worrying about swelling feels like someone else’s problem entirely, and if anything, it feels like the skin has adhered more firmly to my nose, making the line look much slimmer? I don’t even remember being worried that my nasal tip might look blunt in photos anymore. Since my nose line looks defined from any angle, taking selfies is actually fun now
My eyes also look much more open and refreshing than before, so these days I wear much lighter makeup than I used to, but everyone says I look prettier now. My impression looks innocent yet more defined, so I feel like the 9-month mark is the absolute peak!!
Before the surgery, I really couldn’t sleep because I was worried about side effects or that it might not suit me, but thinking about it now, I’m just living such a happy everyday life that all that time feels wasted. If anyone is still debating it, based on my friends’ reactions, I really felt that if you go somewhere that does it naturally and well, your life changes lol
