Ever since I was young, my nose was short and low, so it was always something I worried about,, I wanted to get nose surgery before it got any later, so I looked into it, but I was really scared of side effects.. So I started looking into autologous dermis surgery, which is said to have almost no side effects.
Getting an implant and having a dramatically pretty nose would be nice too, but I guess I wanted a surgery that was safer in terms of side effects..?
I really searched all over for autologous dermis clinics, and among them, I went to a plastic surgery clinic in Suwon that said the doctor had over 15 years of experience and specialized in revision surgery, thinking I’d just get a consultation first,,,
The director explained the principle of autologous dermis surgery, the surgical method, and the pros and cons clearly but in so much detail that I somehow got drawn in and booked the surgery right away before leaving lol
I originally had basically no nasal bridge at all, so we decided to build both the bridge and nasal tip with dermis. They said that for safety reasons, it would be done under local anesthesia after a short period of sedation, so honestly I was seriously terrified,,,
But it hurt less than I expected during surgery, and even after the anesthesia wore off, I was okay..! Of course, having the splint on was uncomfortable, but it wasn’t the kind of pain that kept me from sleeping or made me need separate painkillers, I’d say..?
And the clinic kept taking care of the wound management, so I’m still diligently managing the scar now.. haha
Oh, and more than anything, people around me have told me a lot that I became prettier in a really natural way, but that my image definitely changed compared to before, so I think that’s nice hehe
Also, I think the biggest advantage is that I don’t have to worry about side effects hehe
Because of the nature of dermis, there’s no way it won’t be absorbed at all, and they said that for that part, they can add more dermis by injection while monitoring the progress up to 4 months after surgery, but I haven’t added any yet!
