5 years ago, I had natural adhesion buried-suture double eyelid surgery and epicanthoplasty, but as time passed, my double eyelid line started to loosen, and at some point it was almost gone ㅠ The line would only form if I strained my eyes, and when I relaxed, it became faint again, so it started to bother me. I also used double eyelid tape and glue, but they didn’t last long, and I was worried my eyelids might stretch. On top of that, the height of the lines on both sides looked subtly different, so it showed more every time I took photos… On mornings when I was swollen, they looked even more uneven, so I think it was stressful. More than wanting to look pretty, opening my eyes felt uncomfortable, so I started looking into revision surgery. I saw a lot of reviews for this plastic surgery clinic, so I booked a consultation. Director Choi Jung-hoon looked at my eyes and explained in detail what kind of line would suit me, saying he could make them look naturally clearer, and I gradually felt more confident in him. So he said that rather than just doing buried-suture revision surgery, it would be better to correct the line and the overall eye shape together, and recommended buried-suture revision + upper, outer, and lower canthoplasty! It was my first time doing canthoplasty too, so I hesitated a little, but he said he would make it look natural and suited to the overall mood of my face. During the consultation, he explained everything in detail, from the surgical method to the recovery process, so I understood it quickly, and the things I was worried about went away! So after the consultation, I scheduled the surgery date! On the day of surgery, my eyes felt a little heavy and stiff, but there wasn’t much pain, just slight swelling maybe? After surgery, I received an ice pack and kept it on my eyes, then after they checked that there were no issues, I went home. I received medication and ointment, and even on the way home I kept the ice pack from the clinic on my eyes. When I got home, I rested while doing cold compresses! After the stitches were removed, it felt much more comfortable, and as the bruising and swelling went down together, I could see that the eye shape line had settled. Since it was revision surgery, I was worried about swelling, but maybe because the eye shape was done well to suit my face, the swelling went down quickly and it settled fast too! It has been one month, and the swelling has gone down a lot, with no discomfort at all in daily life. Every time I look in the mirror, my eyes definitely look more open than before, and most of all, the most comfortable part is that the line is naturally there even without straining. Both sides look balanced too, so taking photos is no longer stressful 😊 Since this clinic specializes in eyes, it didn’t feel like a factory-style place, and every time I went for follow-ups, I could feel that the director personally checked everything carefully, which I really liked too. It feels like I can trust them and ask whenever I’m curious about something or something bothers me after surgery! I keep realizing every time that revision surgery should be done at an eye-specialized clinic haha. I totally recommend it!
