My face originally looked a bit hollow, so I was always bothered by my cheeks and forehead. So I tried fillers and lifting too, but the fillers were all gone after a month or two, and lifting is a skin procedure, so since it doesn’t really fill in the volume itself, it didn’t give me the look I wanted.
I was really stressed because I was only spending money and not satisfied, but people around me kept bringing up facial fat grafting, so I started looking into it. I heard about it from an acquaintance, booked a consultation, and went in. I explained all my concerns, and the director carefully explained while looking at my facial proportions which areas looked hollow and how much volume would need to be added for it to look natural. I said I absolutely didn’t want anything overly plump, and that I only wanted to look a little more lively. Then they designed it exactly in the direction I wanted, so I got the surgery right away.
There was some swelling for about three or four days, and by around a week, it was almost gone. I was a little worried when I saw the swelling at first, but once it went down, it really felt like my own face, but somehow different, if that makes sense. It feels nice. When I got fillers before, when I touched my face, it felt like there was something inside, but with fat grafting, it’s just my own flesh, so it feels natural.
When I look in the mirror, I can definitely feel that my face looks more voluminous, and it’s somehow different when I do my makeup too. I’ve tried fillers, lifting, and all sorts of things, but if you’re someone who didn’t like any of them, I really recommend facial fat grafting. I should’ve done it sooner.
