I never thought I’d end up having breast surgery 3 times. I wanted a natural look, so I never even considered implants.
For my first surgery, I think I paid around 14 million KRW at a place famous for stem cells. They said there would be no effect if the fat was taken from the upper arms, so they extracted it from my abdomen and thighs. They pressured me so, so much to gain weight, there was absolutely no effect, and I only ended up with things like calcification. It was like paying money to receive a bomb.
Foolish woman that I am, I still couldn’t let go of my lingering hope, so I went to another hospital famous for fat grafting for my second surgery. But they said there wasn’t enough fat to extract, so I ended up going with the last resort: implants.
I had Mentor Xtra 215 cc implants placed through the armpit. Even though I chose a small size, from the very first day after surgery I was like, “Ah, f***, I hope this is a dream,” because it was ruined. Even accounting for swelling on day one, unlike other people’s reviews, it looked like a muscular chest, and my nipples were facing the floor.
That shape and rock-hard feel continued even until 9 months. The doctor said, “Let’s try medication for capsular contracture,” prescribed medicine, and told me to come often for Caps. I was 9 months post-op. Are you insane? The hospital building has 2nd and 3rd floors, and even has a separate area that only treats breasts, but they don’t have an ultrasound machine. They only lightly suspected contracture by hand.
In the end, I went around to several other hospitals that had machines, and every one of them said it was grade 4. They also said that when doing the implant surgery, the previously injected fat tissue should have been removed first. Hearing “why did they do it like this?” made reality hit me hard.
The person called the consultant never contacted me except when scheduling the surgery, and when I brought up this issue, they said they had done nothing wrong. In the middle of all that, they asked where I was getting revision surgery. What the hell are they going to do if I tell them where? Give me a refund then. I seriously hope that factory-style hospital goes completely under.
Ah, today is one day after my revision surgery at another hospital.
Even so, I can already feel that it turned out better than before. It’s softer, there’s no upper pole bulging, and the inframammary fold line is longer. Once the swelling goes down and it really turns out well, I’ll bring a review!
I should work hard to promote my doctor-father.
