Eye Surgery Reviews

3 months after incisional double eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, lateral canthoplasty, and lower canthoplasty

It has already been 3 months since I had ptosis correction surgery. Time passed faster than I expected, and as time has gone by, the swelling has gone down a little more than before. Of course, I’ve heard that swelling continues to subside gradually over more than 6 months, so I think it will keep going down and become even more natural. In the early period after surgery, I was really anxious, wondering, “When will the swelling go down so it won’t look like I had surgery?” but I guess time takes care of all of that.

After surgery, I can open my eyes with less effort, so the headaches and the tendency to get tired easily have definitely decreased. Before, by evening, it became even harder to keep my eyes open because my eye muscles were tired, but now after surgery, that is no longer the case. Since those everyday aspects have improved, I can really feel even better about having had the surgery.

Also, while writing this review and looking at my pre-surgery photos for the first time in a while, my eyes now look so much more open and refreshed that I wondered, “Did my eyes really look like that?” Even though I didn’t have major dissatisfaction with the shape of my eyes before surgery, seeing how much clearer they look now makes me think I’m glad I had the surgery. I hope they continue to become even more natural.
