I went for my 2-week checkup! Maybe because it was Saturday, there was a bit of a wait at the clinic, but after waiting for a while, I saw the director. They said that from now on, during the day I should wear the Dorothy bra with the hooks tightened two more notches, and that when sleeping, since it might feel tight, I should wear it comfortably on the outermost hooks! They said my tissue is softening well, so I just need to be a little more careful about using my arms.
They also said that when showering now, I don’t have to be too gentle and can scrub a bit more firmly, and that I shouldn’t intentionally peel off the Dermabond, but should let it fall off naturally. They said once it all falls off, I can start applying the scar ointment I received from the clinic! But after that day, I showered quite a lot, so all the Dermabond fell off in just two days..
Of course, the scars are still somewhat dark, and one side does look a little redder, but they’re hidden right along the inframammary fold more than I expected, so they’re not very noticeable at a glance. The feel has definitely become softer than in week 1! Especially after the 2-week progress check and receiving CAPS, I feel like they got a bit softer. They told me to buy a sports bra and bring it to my next checkup haha. I want to exercise soon
