Nose Re-Surgery

I’m thinking about removing ear cartilage from my implant-free nose...

It’s been about 1 year and 4 months since I had implant-free nasal tip surgery (donor rib cartilage + ear cartilage), osteotomy, hump osteotomy, columella lowering, and nostril reduction! The ear cartilage had always shown through slightly, but recently it suddenly rose up as if it were protruding, so I’m planning to remove it..! I did go to consultations at several places, but ear cartilage removal (closed approach) at SSY appealed to me the most, so I’m planning to do it there. During the consultation, they said we should leave the support strut (donor rib cartilage), so I’m planning to keep that and remove only the ear cartilage. I don’t mind if the height gets lower or the shape spreads out, but I’ve seen a few reviews saying it can still show through again even after removing the ear cartilage... I’m also curious which cartilage is showing through, and since I don’t really understand the nose structure, I’m worried the donor rib cartilage might sharply poke through... Has anyone here had an implant-free nose using donor rib cartilage and ear cartilage like me, and removed only the ear cartilage??
