Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

3-week review after cheekbone reduction

After putting it off again and again, I finally got cheekbone reduction surgery, and I’m currently at week 3. My swelling tends to go down more slowly than other people’s, so I’m having quite a hard time trying to reduce it.. I still have some swelling left in my lower face! My first surgery ever ended up being cheekbone reduction.. Honestly, even if someone paid me to do it again, I don’t think I could.. This wasn’t just a matter of “it hurts”.. I don’t know if it was because of the general anesthesia, but on the first night my arrhythmia symptoms got worse. On top of that, blood kept coming out through my nose, so both sides were completely blocked, and I could only breathe through my mouth. Bloody sputum kept going down toward my airway too, so I could barely breathe at all. It wasn’t just pain; I was like, wow.. I could really die like this, and the psychological shock was so huge ha I do wonder if other people had it this bad too, but for me it was so hard.. The director at the hospital is extremely skilled, but cheekbone reduction itself is such a major surgery that I guess the pain can’t really be helped.. Now at week 3, I can open my mouth enough to fit about one and a half fingers, and I feel a tingling, painful sensation around the cheekbone area! I hope I reach the 3-month mark soon ㅡㅠㅠㅠ
